I am a mother to 4 grown up-kids who have all officially flown the coop! While my kids were growing up, our home was always known as a safe haven amongst their friends. They knew they could show up at my door day or night for a place to crash, or just a shoulder to lean on, no questions asked.

My husband of 27 years and I have turned our attention to a new coop now that our nest is officially empty in Glassboro, NJ. We currently have 5 chickens, 3 cats, and two goats! We are loving the new adventure of being empty nesters.

I worked at a local church for twenty years as the director of children and family ministries serving hundreds of families over my career. My faith and spirituality keeps me grounded and joyful in all the things that I do. I am a former professional sign language interpreter and hope to support the deaf community as well in providing informed consent during the labor and birth process.

 

My soul has a deep desire to care for others in whatever I do and whatever capacity they need. If I think  about my life, I have always supported others in the way a doula supports a laboring parent.
